Happy New Year!

Good Morning! Phill 3:13 Brothers,I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do; Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. So here we are,the start of yet another year. As you look back on this year,was it one filled with loss,tragedy and sorrow? Or was it one filled with happiness,joy,success and achievement? It doesn't matter! It is done,it is over with. But I have 2 questions I want to ask you. One! How do you think God looks on the past year of your life? Did it bring you any closer to Him? Did it expose any weakness,or find you wandering away from Him? Was God disappointed with your responses to the challenges of life this yr? Second! What lessons did He teach you this yr? What lessons do you need to take from this yr to the next? And going into this yr,What needs to change and how will that happen? I shared this with my guys last night at CR. We are all on a journey! Traveling down a road. The fastest way we can get to the goal,(Vs 14) is to keep pressing down that straight and narrow road. But so many of us get taken down some side streets or hit some pot holes along the way. But our main goal should be to get on that road and press on towards that goal. Pressing toward the prize. Which is to be with Him forever in Heaven! I don't know about you,but I'm getting my Sketchers on for this one. But what I'm really trying to say is, No matter what happened last year,don't be bound by its failures. But remember its lessons and take them into the New Year with you. In Psalm 111 it says, He has caused his wonders to be remembered. Remember what God has done for you this year. And press on into the next one in obedience to Christ! How's Your Faith?

Good Morning! Heb 11:39 These were all commended for their faith,yet none of them received what had been promised. (meaning Jesus) If you read Chapter 11 of Hebrews you will see all the men and women who were commended for their Faith.. Albert Einstein wrote in a letter to his son, Eduard "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving." This wise counsel can apply to the Christian life. Many of us through faith keep on moving through life's painful and trying experiences. just like all the people in Chap 11. But I want to share something that hinders many Christians in their walk. And keeps them from moving forward in life. And that is having Faith in God's Forgiveness.If you look at all the people who are getting praise for their faith in that Chap, it doesn't tell you all the sins they committed. But yet they were commended!  I'll just give one example, David! He committed adultery, murder and deception. But because of His Faith was forgiven and God commended as saying his heart was like Gods.So many of us stifle our walk because we commit a sin and we think God can't forgive us. I know! In 2003 after being sober for 2 1/2 yrs I went back to drinking and drugging. I thought that was it, I had turned my back on God. And He was going to do the same to me. I had turned my back on God,and in turn He would turn His on me. So today I am asking you have you lost your spiritual balance through a sinful choice, which is keeping you down? Repent and turn to God,as so many have done before us. Have Faith in His forgiveness and the saving blood of Jesus Christ.Our God is a God of second chances and third and on and on. Jesus told Peter you must forgive 7times 777 times. So it is that same forgiveness God has with us. So have Faith in it. It is the balance we all need to keep moving forward! HABD!

Who are We?

Good Morning! Psalm 144:3-4 O Lord, what is man that you care for him,the son of man that you think of him? Man is like a breath, his days are like a fleeting shadow. What a question, Who are we really? We have a God who designed the universe,he keeps the planets in their orbits and holds the stars in their places. He crafted the mountains and carved out the seas. He is the Author of history and Sovereign over the worlds governments. YET! He knitted you in your mothers womb,He has numbered the hairs on your head,He knows you by name. It is incomprehensible to me to even think why He concerns himself with me. How about you? Cause lets think about it, Who are We? We are a bunch of wayward sinful people. We are rebellious towards Him in our thoughts,words and deeds toward Him everyday. We are the creators of idols and we worship the gods of this world like money,lust and power. We are constantly rebellious towards Him trying to be independent from Him, when all He wants to do is have a relationship with us.This is what is incomprehensible,in spite of all this God still,Loves us, Knows us and is mindful of us. No wonder the psalmist here sang praises to the Lord here in this Psalm. As we should join with him raising our voices in Joy to the Lord. So today! And this is REALLY WHAT IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE! When you go out into this world,and get all caught up in the busyness the world has,or you sin,or you get a little independent from God. Thinking You got This. Stop! Take a min to think,even when we do all this stuff,even when we forget about Him. He is still mindful of us,and still loves us. Now that ought to be enough to put a little bounce in your step today. HABD!

Who is your Captain?

Good Morning! Psalm 48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end. Have you ever been on a Plane or Cruise Ship and heard these words? "This is your Captain speaking!" If you watch,everybody will stop what they are doing and listen. Well let me tell you what,we are all on a Cruise and the Ships name is Planet Earth! Do you remember those old Bumper stickers that said, "God is my Co-Pilot!" And then they came out with the other one,"God is my Pilot!" This is a great example! Because I know for me there have been times in my life, when I have put God.as my Co-Pilot! And it still happens sometimes today. I want to put God in the seat next to me and say,"Watch! I got this" But that usually ends up in disaster and I hear that voice come over the intercom,"This is your Captain Speaking" How often does God speak to you through an event,an emotion, a friend or the Bible. But we choose not to listen. Because we have the Wheel. If you look at the end of this Vs it says, "He will be our guide even to the end. So today! Let us all move over into the Co-Pilot seat and have Faith in our Captain. For it is only then the seas will calm down,or the turbulence in life is navigated through. It is not until we have Faith in this Captain that He will take care of us,and guide us through this journey called life. That we can find Joy and Peace in this world and journey. So if the intercom is on today and you hear the Words,"This is your Captain speaking!" Stop and take time to listen! HABD!

Its mine! I worked for IT!

Greetings! 1Chron 29:11 Yours, O Lord is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord is the kingdom;you are exalted as head over all. Now I don't have much as far as riches or possessions. But I worked hard for it all! Don't you feel that way? That is the misconception we all have at one point or another. But that is something we must all realize,just as David did in his prayer. We own NOTHING! This is all Gods! Paul reminds us again in Coloss 1:16 that, All things were created through Him and for Him. Sure we all go to work each day to earn a paycheck so we can pay our bills,and buy the things WE want in life.But do we thank God for that job? And the things we buy with His money that He blessed us with.Are we using it wisely? Are we using it to glorify God? Or spending it on our own earthly pleasures. You see everything we have is Gods.He is just letting us borrow it. Even our body's are not ours, and I can see that we don't even recognize that by the way we treat them sometimes. (me included) For Paul tells us in 1Cor 6:19-20 Even our bodies do not belong to us; Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, temple of the Holy Spirit.... and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price. God sent His Son to pay the price for us. So we could be reconciled to Him! He owns us,He made us. He owns everything in the world,cause He made it.So today as you are going to work, or if you have a day off cause of the snow,let us remember who gives us all these things. God,who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment 1Tim 6:17. So today give Thanks to God for all you have! Or what you don't have! Because it all belongs to Him.You belong to Him.So work hard today! Cause it's for Him. HABD!

Are you a Giver?

Good Morning! Hope everyone had a Blessed WHITE CHRISTmas and for you who didn't, just a Blessed one. As for me I'm snowed in on the Mtn. The last I measured I had 5 1/2 inches up here. Praise God! Acts 20:35 In everything I did,I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." This is a common cliche at this time of the yr. But are we talking about giving things? Like money, gifts or food? At this time and with the economy the way it is, I think it is hard for alot of us to give this way.But if you can that's Great! But I think what Jesus was saying here was giving of yourself. I know much of my life I was a Taker. All I did was look for what I could get out of someone or situation. But that is because I didn't have anything to offer back in those days. But now today! I realize I have something more valuable than all the gold and silver in Ft. Knox. A gift that was given to us all 2000 years ago by our Father in Heaven. And we celebrated his birth yesterday. That gift is Jesus! And if there is anything that needs to be shared or given to someone else today. It is Him. And if there is anything this world needs today,It is Him! So you see, we can all be Givers. We don't have to have alot of things or money to be a giver.We have the best gift of all to give. So today go out in the world and be a Giver. Share the Good News of Jesus Christ our Savior with someone. And see that it is Truly more Blessed to give what we have received. And the Wonderful thing is Jesus is a gift that just keeps on giving and giving. Have a Blessed Day! And be a Giver today!

When is He your Savior?

Good Morning and Merry CHRISTmas! Rom 3:23-24 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. OK! Now today as you are opening the gifts and thanking all the people who gave them to you. Let us not forget to thank our Father in Heaven for His great gift to us. His Son Jesus who died,so you and I could be Free. That is what CHRISTmas is really all about. And yes we will celebrate today and maybe all weekend,and for some they will go to church or already went last night,for the only time they will all year.  That is my point! When is Jesus your Savior? Come Monday when all the hype and excitement of gifts, party's and family get togethers are all over and we are returning to work. Will we still be Praising the one who came to save us all from sin,death and destruction? Or will he go back upon the shelf along with our Bibles until its time to pull Him out again next year? In Rom 4:7 it says, "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, WHO SINS ARE COVERED. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never hold against him. " Why? Because of Jesus! Who was born on this day,and later hung on the Cross,so our sins could be forgiven. Forgiven! You see are sins are Covered all year long.Because of His Son,God never holds our sins against us ever. Now for me that's something to Celebrate all year long. So today lets put CHRISTmas in our hearts not for a weekend.But for Eternity! Because through Him,that's what we're promised. Remember on this day a Savior was born! To give us LIFE! And to give it to us abundantly! John 10:10. Praise God! For His Son,and Happy Birthday Jesus! HABD!

Where is the Peace?

Good Morning! Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest,and on earth peace,goodwill toward men! You know if you read the story of Jesus' birth in Luke 2, the Angels tell us that they bring us tidings of Great Joy! A Savior is born. And with him there is Peace! And when Jesus was telling His disciples about the Holy Spirit,because He would be going to Heaven. He said,"Peace I leave with you;MY PEACE I GIVE YOU.I do not give you as the world gives! Well that's a good thing,cause I don't see to much Peace in the world today. Wars continue to take innocent lives,Domestic violence is a growing problem. Divorce rates soar, churches split and the sin and violence and just downright belligerence  against God is unbelievable. So where is this Peace Jesus promised? You know if there is one thing I see with Christians today, myself included. Is we sit back and expect God to do everything in our lives. We just think that as long as we go to Church and wear our Crosses around our necks to show who we are. God will do everything else. But you see Jesus told us WE are the ones who have to go the extra mile.We are the ones who need to forgive others,We need to turn the other cheek, We need to reject greed and tolerate each others weaknesses. We are the ones who are supposed to love each other,as He loved us. In Rom 12:18 Paul tells us,"If it is possible,as far as depends on YOU,live at peace with everyone. So today! At this time of CHRISTmas,But all through the yr also! May we show this Peace to each other. This Peace that Jesus so freely gave us. But WE are the ones who have to use it. So today! Let us show the, Love,The Peace of Jesus Christ! Let that be our gift to everyone this Year! HABD!

No Vacancy!

Good Morning! Luke 2:7 and she gave birth to her first born,a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger,because there was no room for them in the inn. Boy, you think that if someone knew that Mary was giving birth to the Savior of the World, they would have given up their room to her.But before we denouce the unfriendly people of Bethleham.Let us think about our society today.Sure at this time of the yr,millions of people remember Jesus' birth and celebrate his birthday. But in their hearts there is No Vacancy! There is no room for Christ! Consider our culture today,we hear great cries for tolerence today,but consider the bigotry towards Jesus today.There is no room for His Word in our culture,where the children are without reverence for God or faith in the Bible.There is no room for our Lord's creed of purity and self denial when the media sends forth a constant barrage of profanity and indecency and materialism.There is no room for the promise of the cross and His blood.The angels statement in Matt 1:21 "He will save his people from their sins" is rejected by those who deny that the Child in the manger is our Emmanual,God with us. So today what are you going to do,and then be able to help others make room for Jesus in their lives.Because we are living in a World, and it is getting worse. Where there is No Room,No Vacancy,for God or His Son our Savior in the lives of people.And it is our job to make sure they no He is real. And they must open the doors to their hearts for him! HABD!

The Lamb will Overcome!

Good Morning! Rev 17:14  They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings-and with him will be his called,chosen and faithful followers. Today's world is dangerously deceptive and openly hostile toward God. I mean lets take a look,these days it is Happy Holidays instead of Merry CHRISTmas.Satan has deceived alot of the human race that it is not about Jesus at this time of the year. It is just about a Holiday. He is trying to use vicious and relentless determination to make us forget what this season is all about. Because he knows what it is really all about. Because Satan knows why! Because even as powerful as Satan is. He is no match for God. Just the mere fact that Satan must be released from the bottomless pit.(Rev 20:3) reveals that his every move is and will continue to be under God's sovereign control. So be Merry this CHRISTmas and all through the year! Because we have been made Overcomers! By the Lamb! The Lamb of God that Overcame, Sin,Death and Satan! and as the Boys in 12 step would say,"Praise God" HABD!

Have you found god?

Good Morning! Isaiah 7:14 Therefor the Lord himself will give you a sign; The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son,and will call him Immanuel.Now Immanuel means, God with us! if I am not mistaken. I want to share a fact with you. Did you know that Christmas time is a Psychiatrists busiest time of the year? Because at Christmas so many people are lonely and feel isolated at this time of the year. Why? I want to share something with you. I was one of those people. But it was not only at Christmas time. It was all the time! I felt alone all the time. I turned to Alcohol and Drugs,Women and Relationships to try and fill that void. Anything that made me feel like I was not alone. But none of these things worked. And believe me I saw my fair share of Psychiatrists and Counselors to! But they didn't help. It wasn't until a little over 4yrs ago,when I truly found God in a lonely Motel room. When God showed me, He was real,and He was there for me,and He truly loved me,that the void was filled.You see it is not till we find that True Relationship with God we can be satisfied.Not till we realize,"God is with us" All the time. Today I have a friend who is there whenever I need Him. That friend is Jesus. So this Christmas let us look for those people who are lonely,those people that the Christmas season really means nothing,because they haven't found the one that it is all about. The Immanuel! GOD! Who is always with us! A God who rules! Always Has! Always Will! HABD!
P.S. The reason we have to find these people is so we can share the Reason for the Season! Jesus! So they like you and me! Will never be alone again. A friend that sticks by you better than a brother. I think that's scripture?

Are you God's servent?

Greetings! Luke 1:38 I am the Lord's servant, Mary answered. May it be to me as you have said. Then the angel left. Man what an act of Faith! The angel had just told Mary that she was going to be Jesus' mother. Now lets look at this. Because what Mary agreed to could bring her nothing but shame in that day and age. She was not married and to become pregnat in that day and age without a husband was against the law. People would talk! And look at Joseph, how do you think he felt? But she said, I am the Lords servant! he was willing by Faith to except anything that God had planned for her life. To except the shame,the ridicule and disgrace of doing God's will. I ask myself, am I that willing? How about you? If God told us to do something today,that was his will for our lives. But,it would make people laugh at us,or make fun of us. Would we do it? Is our Faith as strong as Marys,that we would take the shame,the ridicule to do what God says? So today is God telling you to do something, but you are afaid people will talk, or make fun of you? Well we need to step out in Faith and, "Just Do It!" As the old Nike slogan says. What if Mary had said No? Well will never no the answer to that. Just like we won't know the Blessings waiting for us, if we do not totally surrender to God's will for our lives. So tnday if God tells you to do something, let us all answer, Yes! For I am the Lord's servant! HABD!

Standing at the Throne!

Good Morning! Part of Rev 4:8 Holy ,Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is,and is to come. If you read all of Vs 4 it is telling us about the Throne in Heaven. The place where God sits and Jesus at his right hand. And all things and creatures that were there were Praiseing them. Just think about it, what will you be doing when you get in front of the Throne? What we don't realize is we are standing in front of the Throne right now! If Jesus is living in your heart, He has made His Throne there. In the O.T. God is refers to as Adonai Yehweh, meaning "Lord"or "Master" until we realize this and make Him those things in our lives,our relationship with him will be out of balance. We need to realize that everyday we are standing at the Throne, everyday we are in the Lords presence. So today as you are at Church or maybe just talking to God by yourself. Tell him He is your Adonai Yahweh and sing a song of praises to him.For Jesus is always on the Throne of our Hearts.So that means we are always standing there. HABD! (Have A Blessed Day

Do you have it?

Good Morning! 2Thess 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. Let me ask you, what type of things do you worry about today? It drives me crazy to turn on the news these days. All you see is a world worried with troubles. The Goverment is worried about this Bill getting passed and that Bill getting passed. We as a people are worried about the economy and how it is going to effect us. Lets face it the world is in chaos and turmoil. And guess who that comes from? Well let me tell you,its not Jesus. Right here Paul tells us,he is the Lord of Peace! So then,if he is our Lord, why do we not have peace. Why do we constantly look for things to worry about. Instead of just having the Faith to trust everything will be OK? In Luke 7:50 Jesus said to the woman "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." Do you have Faith? Then why do you not have peace? Today let us find that peace.A peace God promises us (Psalm 85:8) A peace that trancends all our understanding (Phillip 4:7) A peace that Jesus gave to us as his gift (John 14:27) So today let us go into this world in Victory! With a heart at Peace,A heart of Faith! For there is nothing in this world that God cannot do.(Luke 1:37) So in this season of CHRISTmas let us remember why the Lord sent us His Son. Not only to take the sins of the world. But to give us Peace! Hence the saying, Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward men! HABD!

Have you seen Grace?

Good Morning! 1Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree,so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness;by his wounds you have been healed.It's funny! What do you think of when you think of Grace.It is this thing that God has so freely given us.But is Grace invisible? Is it just something that happens when you except Jesus? Yes! But have you seen Grace? Some of the guys in my group last night said this. And I agree with them 100 percent.I am so thankful today that I was an alcoholic and addict,it has brought me to where I am today. And to be involved in the things I am involved in today. Like C R and the other recovery things I do. Because this is where I get to see God's Grace. I get to see it change peoples lives.You have not experienced Grace till you have seen someone come into the program all broken and discouraged and through the weeks watch God transform them to a New Creature. Now that is Grace! So today remember the Season. We are celebrating the Birth of Grace. The one who came to bare our sins, so our lives could be changed. Be changed! That is why I go every Tues and Thurs,because I get to sit in a room full of God's Grace.If you are somewhere in life that Grace is just something that happens when you get saved.Then I challenge you to come to a C R meeting here or in your town. And not only experience Gods Grace, But see it! HABD!

Are you the Judge?

Good Morning! Rom 9:15 For he says to Moses,"I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." Now lets be honest! Have you ever looked at someone and said,to someone else or in your mind and said,"Well I won't be seeing them in Heaven." What a sharp contrast to our limited human perspective! We see what we see, and we guess whats going on in that person's heart. But we don't know! Only God knows the true intention of someones heart,and that includes you and me. You see God perceives every thought and intention of the heart. Nothing is outside His awareness. He knows what's going on in peoples hearts,we do not. My point today is, we have no right to say or think, who we think should be in Heaven and who shouldn't. That is God's job! I can't find it right now, but in the Word it says,Not to judge others so you yourself will not be judged. You see none of us deserves to go to Heaven,it is only God's Grace that gets us there.You will probably be surprised at who you see there in Heaven, and who you don't. That is if you make it there. So today remember God knows the intentions of the heart! Oh,and yea! He is God, and we are not. And He can give His Grace to whoever He wants. HABD!

Who are you submitting to?

Greetings! James 4:1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? The word submission means, an act of yielding to the authority or control of another.Let me ask you something,Have you ever in your life or even today,submit to things or people in life to get the things we want out of life.Do we at times want something so badly that we submit to doing anything to get it. Maybe admiration? Possessions, Pleasures, Food or Money. I know I do. In Rom 6:16 Paul tells us, to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey,you are that one's slave.That is why James is telling us here,we must submit ourselves to God! He actually says that we should, Humble yourselves before the Lord,and he will lift you up. You see when we are Humbling ourselves before God,we are submitting ourselves to Him.We are turning our control over to him. I know! Easier said than done. This is true.But it is something we must work on and try and do on a daily basis.Because until we do, we will fight and quarrel among ourselves.But the real battle is the one that goes on within. With our desires and the things we want. Those things are not always the things God wants for us.So today let us Humble ourselves before the Lord, Submit to Him and he will help us to battle those desires.Remember our main desire should be to serve God,not ourselves! HABD!

Have Peace! Not Fear!

Good Morning! John 14:27 Peace I leave with you;my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. WOW! Are those some comforting words from Jesus or what? So let me ask you, can you honestly say that you have that much trust in Jesus to live that way? NO FEAR! I just got a front licence tag for my car that says that. FEAR NOT and it has a Cross in between the words.But do I or we live our lives that way. Can we honestly say we live our lives with no fear.I know I would like to say I do.But the truth is we all have fears.But why? Jesus tells us right here,not to let our hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.It comes down to your Trust in God and His Son.I am getting to a point in my life where there are some things I Fear Not about,like dying or where I will spend eternity.But there are still things of the world I fear,how about you? So today as Christians let us go into the world with a Fear Not attitude.Jesus did not give as the world doe's, he gave us more than the world could ever think of So we do not have to be afraid. HABD!

All like snow!

Good Morning! Isaiah 1:18 Come now,let us reason together,says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;though they are red like crimson,they shall be like wool. Have you ever thought about it? I don't know if where you are you got it? But we got about 2inch of snow here yesterday, and it's still coming down. But as I look at it,it is just hard for me to comprehend that this is how God sees us.His forgiveness is so great that he sees nothing but clean fresh fallin snow.And that's all he sees! Because as the day goes on we will because of our sin,go make footprints in the snow. We will trample on the forgiveness God so freely gives us.But that's the Good thing with GOD.Everyday he sends freshly fallen snow in our lives.That is what is so hard to comprehend.But that is the thing with God,we are not supposed to figure him out. Just except the Love and Forgiveness He has given us through his Son! So today as you go out and trample in the snow. Remember Gods forgiveness as you make footsteps all on it. Remember to thank Him for his forgiveness and for His Son,who came to pay the price for our sins. That is what this season is all about! A child! A child who was born with one purpose. To pay the price for our sins so that everyday when God looks at us,he sees freshly fallin snow.HABD! Oh P.S. I'm snowed in on the Mountain! YOHOO!

Which limb are you?

Good Morning! Today I want to give Thanks to God for my little Brother in Christ Joe Yerdon. Thanks to him you can now find my Devotions on the Computer at Viewsofasinner.blogspot.com, so if you have friends who don't text,you can direct them there. Praise the Lord that we are not one person in Christ,but we are joined by others to become the Body of Christ! So now I have to give these titles. Which today will be Which limb are you? In 1Corinth 12:12 Paul tells us, "The body is a unit,though it is made up of many parts;and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ." If you read all of Chap 12 in this book it tells us how God has given us a job to do. The job is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. And the Salvation God has given us through him.But just as the Body has different parts, so the Body of Christ has different people. We all have the same Spirit. (Vs 12:4) And that same Spirit gives us all different gifts. My example today is me and Joe. Where the Spirit gave me the desire and the wisdom to share the word of God with you each day. My wisdom of gift is not in technology. I'm lucky someone taught me how to text. But when it comes to the Internet,you are looking at one stupid person. But that is where Joe's gift comes in. He is kind of a WIZ at it. And together we now have the Word of God where everybody can see it. You see there are gifts God has given all of us to do. Be it Wisdom, Knowledge, Healing or just having Faith. What limb are you? What gift has God given you? And are you using it? The eye cannot pick up the food to feed the mouth without the hand. Just as The Body of Christ cannot do its job unless we are all one. Working together to bring all things together until we are all one in Jesus Christ. So today find your part of the Body! HABD!

God Loves US!

Greetings! 2Peter 2:20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end then they were in the beginning. This is a Vs that is so commonly misconstrued and taken out of text. So many people want to make this Vs seem to say that if you have know the way of Jesus and then you turn your back on Him, You have lost your salvation. but if you take a good look at this vs you will see it says nothing like that. it just says it will be worse for you than in the beginning. i can atest to this Vs because i have been there. I found Jesus (truely found him) in 2000. and because I wasnt ready to give up some of the things in my life. To truely deny mySELF. I went back to my old ways of drinking and drugging and living a life not worthy of jesus. But does that mean He stopped loving me? Does it mean my name was taken out of the Book of Life? I don't think so. I think my life was just going to be a little more trouble some. If you read Hebrews Chap 12 it will tell you how God disiplines us. Just like a Father disiplines his sons. In AA they have a saying that, after you have guit drinking, but then you return to it. You don't start over, you pick up at the same place you left off. And for most of us that was in a pit. It is the same with Jesus. If He has come into your heart and changed you. But yet you go back to your old ways and turn your back on him. You just step back into the darkness of the world again. And it will only get darker, until you again choose to turn around and walk towards the light again. That light is Jesus. We all make mistakes and step back into the darkness of the world. But Jesus is always there to guide us back. I think what this Vs should say is if you have known Jesus and turn your back on him. Life is going to be worse than it was before. HABD!
