Noah's of Today

Good Morning! Gen 6:8-9 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time,and he walked with God. Now Noah lived in an extremely wicked age. The people of his age dwelled continually on evil. Kinda much like the world we live in today. But yet Noah chose to walk with God. A choice we like Noah must face everyday. Can you imagine the ridicule and badgering Noah must have gotten? After all here he was in a place that had no body of water around it, but yet he was building this thin that was 450ft long,75ft wide and 45ft high. Let me ask you,what would your neighbors say today? But even though he was harassed the whole time he worked on it Noah still preached to the people of his time the word of truth. But they would not listen and all went to their deaths when the rains came. So today let me ask you are you a Noah of your age. When people make fun of your beliefs do you cower and go the other way? Or maybe you just keep yourself out of situations where you won't have to deal with ridicule or harassment. Do you just stay in your own little circle of friends? Do you stay in your own little group of friends? In Rom 10:14 it asks us, How then,can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? We live in an evil age just like Noah. And just as God has called us to do a job,which is spreading the good news to all the world (Mark 16:15) We must be Noah's of today! Never wondering from our walk and our faith in God. Remember! Sticks and Stones may break your Bones,but the Word of God won't hurt you. Or anybody else either! HABD!

Standing firm!

Good Morning! 1Peter 5:8 Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. We talked about this the other night in my Mens group. You know satans main job is to steal, kill and destroy. He wants to steal our Joy and Kill our relationship with God through sin and Destroy our chance at Eternal life with God by again stealing our soul through sin. This is his job, this is all he does. Our adversary Satan, is personal, aggressive, intelligent, cunning and destructive. That is why in Vs 9 it tells us, Resist him,standing firm in the faith. Just as the bows and arrows used in warfare centuries ago are useless against todays highly sophisticated weapons, so it is if we try and stand up to satan on our own. Just as time has advanced,so has Satan in his tactics against Christians of Faith! Our greatest road block to satan and his destructive efforts is a Christian who above all else lives for God, walks with integrity, is filled with the Spirit and is obedient to Gods truth. That is why it is so important for us Christians to keep up our daily devotionals. Try and live a clean, honest and humble spirit filled life. And to trust and have faith in God that he will protect us morally, physically and spiritually. And in all we do proclaim the name of Jesus to all we see and in all we do. Satan cannot stand this, cause he knows Jesus is the one person he has no power over and cannot beat. So today stand firm in your Savior Jesus Christ cause he is the one who tamed the Lion! HABD!

What are you waiting for?

Good Morning! John 9:4 As long as it is day,we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming when no one can work. I heard the story of a man who was lying on his death bed. He was a Christian,but had been very reluctant to share his testimony. He said to the man sitting with him,if I had the power I'd shout "Glory to God" right now. And his friend said to him, "To bad you didn't shout his Glory while you had the power." One of the biggest regrets I have in life is that it took me so long to listen to God and the plan he had for my life. Now remember these are my opinions. I know every thing happens for a reason, but I think sometimes,  but sometimes, things happen because WE don't listen to God the first time he lays that plan out. When I was 17 I went to my first Drug Rehab.now how different do you think my life would have been if I would have listened back then and stayed Clean & Sober then. It is like that with our Christian Testimony. Let me ask you this? How many times has the Spirit told you,see that person,you need to tell them about Jesus,but you are reluctant and you miss the opportunity? WE like Jesus were put here to share the Father with others. Our problem is we don't listen when He tells us,and we miss all kinds of opportunity's, not only in our own lives,but we also miss the chance to help change someone Else's through the Blood of Jesus Christ who was sent to change ours. So what are you waiting for. Don't be like the dying man. Don't be reluctant to share and do the work of God today. Because when night comes,you may have missed you chance. Do today what God tells you,for we are not promised tomorrow. What are you waiting for? HABD!

Money Can't Buy

Good Morning! Sorry about yesterday,but the airwaves or something must have been messed up,cause I didn't get yesterdays message back to my phone until like 3am this morning. Tecknowledgy? 2Corinth 9:15 "Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" You know Salvation is something we cannot buy. We cannot bargin or barter for it. God holds our eternal salvation in His omnipotent hand. And He offers it to us freely, without charge. But for some of us that is hard to except. We think there is something we must do for a gift so great. Surely God has some job or work we must do to get it. And that my friends is where we lose the simplicity of our faith. You see it has nothing to do with what we can do for God or what kind of Bargain we can make with Him. You see salvation is free! But it wasn't cheap! It cost God His one and only son. But Jesus freely did that so we could have a relationship with the Father through him. You see only the things of this world have a price tag. But the best things in life are free! The air we breath,the stars in the sky at night,the wonder of human love. But the greatest gift of all is our salvation. That was purchased for us by Jesus Christ. And on it there is no price tag. It is there,all we have to do is except it. And don't forget to Thank Him for it. For it is an indescribable gift. HABD!

Are You Smarter?

Good Morning! Prov 21:30 There is no wisdom,no insight,no plan that can succeed against the Lord. One of my biggest problems, and maybe some of you can relate, is I know it all! If someone has a problem, just fill me in on what it is and I can tell you WHY you are having this problem and WHAT you can do to solve it. But heres the problem I am not always right. But wait! I know it all! I am so thankful today the Lord has showed me that I don't know it all,but that I need to depend on Him for the answers. We are living in a world today where everyone has there opinion. on this and that. And there is an old saying, Opinioins are like Noses, everybody's got one. But I have found today, the only True and Trustworthy answers are found in Gods Word. And if you aren't deriving your answers from it, no telling how misled you might be. Satan loves to tell us that WE have all the answers, and that I KNOW IT ALL! Nobody needs to tell me,cause I have the answers. Well my friends, I hate to tell you this,but only God has the answer to this mystery we call life. And if you are not looking to Him for the answers. You are as Solomon would say; You are just chasing after the wind. And like Solomon I have learned that all understanding comes from God. That is why it tells us in Prov 3:5-6 Not to lean on our own understanding, but to acknowledge Him and he will direct our paths. That also means give us the answers. Because I can admit today I am not  smarter than God,and I don't have all the answers. Only he does! HABD!

What's Crowding Your Life?

Greetings! Psalm 37:4-5 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this; Let me ask you,do you have dreams? Do you have goals you would like to reach? God wants to help you succeed in these things. God really doe's want to give us the desires of our hearts. But I know for me I let to many things of the world get in the way,and crowd out the things God wants to do for me. How about you? Do things crowd out Gods power in your life? Lets put it this way, God cannot and will not share His rightful place in your heart with anyone or anything less than himself. Two conflicting forces cannot exist in one human heart. And these are some of the things that crowd him out of our hearts and stops him from giving us those Desires we seek. DOUBT! When we have doubt in our hearts, faith cannot abide. HATRED! Where hatred rules,there can be no love. SELFISHNESS! Again where there is selfishness,love is crowded out. And here's the Big One, the one that crowds my heart the most. WORRY! When there is worry in our hearts,Trust cannot get in. So let me ask you,is there any thing crowding God out of your heart today? Are some of these things stopping God from giving you your dreams and desires? God cannot help if your heart has these things in it. So today don't give first place to anything less than Christ Jesus. Commit your way and your heart to the Lord,and He shall bring it to pass. We all deserve what God wants to give us. So don't let these things crowd Him out of your Heart. HABD!

Not so easy

Good Morning! Colos 3:2 Set your minds on things above,not on earthly things. Do you ever find that some things in the Bible are easier said then done? I know for me I love to think about the day when Jesus will come back for us, and we will go to be with Him forever. But lets be honest,how many times a day do you really think about that? In a world that is saturated with the Internet and TV. One where people are only thinking about themselves and the problem they have. When do we really stop and think about the eternal life we are going to have? This is Satan's job,he wants to distract us with all the goings on of this world, so we forget about the world to come and the one who's going to bring it. Some people say that Christians who always think about the world to come are living a life of escapism or wishful thinking. But it is something we need to do daily,because it gives us the ability to to be effective in this world. When we forget about the world that is to come,that is when we become ineffective in this one. Jesus promised,"I shall return" We need to remember this daily so that in this not so easy world full of distraction and temptation. We remember that we are not of this world. We are just here until that Glorious day when our Savior returns for us,to take us to our Mansion above. For I find that much easier to think about than spending eternity in this Not so Easy world! HABD!

Being to Busy

Good Morning! Mark 6:31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place to get some rest. Jesus said this to his Disciples,because in the midst of all preaching and teaching that was going on,the disciples had so many demands on them,they were worrying so much about getting everything done,that they forgot the reason they were there,and that was to help Jesus in His ministries. They needed to go away and spend some time alone with Him. Jesus tells us in another scripture, Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. In this Vs today, I see the people coming and going as the world around us today. We get so wrapped up in all the coming and going,that we forget to make time for Jesus. There are many places in the N.T. where you see Jesus went to be alone and pray and meditate. Well if Jesus found it important,don't you think we should to? I know! Your saying to yourself,here he goes again preaching that Making time for God thing again. But you just don't understand how busy I am sometimes. God knows the demands and responsibility you face everyday. At home,work and even in your church,but He also knows that you need his wisdom and strength to keep them in perspective and to get things done right. Yes this is one of my ways make time to spend time with God. When we are Being to Busy for God we may think we are getting alot done. But we are really just running around like a Chicken with its head cut off. Because without God as the HEAD of our lives we have no direction. HABD!

What is your Reaction?

Good Morning! Obadiah 1:12 You should not look down on your brother in the day of his misfortune,nor rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their destruction,nor boast so much in the day of their trouble. Today I'm going to talk about something we all do,and I AM THE WORST! And God I ask your forgiveness for this. Let me ask you What is your Reaction when you hear of the CEO whose empire has crumbled due to unethical accounting practices? Or you read in the paper of someone you know who got arrested for DUI? Or if you are like me you just like to play senerios in your head,just so you can look at them and have a laugh over their life situations? Now that I am clean&sober sometimes I forget where I came from. so I laugh at the misfortunes of their life. See now that I am Clean and Sober sometimes I forget where I came from and and how "there but for the grace of God go I" It makes me want to take a look at my heart condition. There are 2 kinds of hearts mentioned in the Bible. A hardened heart which is indiffernt or even rejoices in anothers calamity or misfortune. And a contrite heart, a heart that knows its own sin and breaks for people who stumble. I know what kind of heart I have today and I am ashamed of myself. You know we have all made mistakes in life. So we have no right to make fun of or belittle other people because of theirs. because of their misfortune. SO TODAY JOIN ME IN WORKING ON THE HEART CONDITION. Let us remember we are all sinners, and let us remember who paid the price for us. He washed away our sins with a heart of love. And that is the kind of heart we need towards others. A heart that is humbled by its own sin,so that it can extend grace and love to others in their misfortune instead of judgment. HABD!

Just Information?

Last night I did the lesson at C.R. and once again I stressed on the importance of spending time in Gods Word. In John 20:31,John tells us, These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ,the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. You see God gave us His word not merely for our information, but rather for our transformation. Our faith in both thewritten Word of Scripture and the living Word of Jesus opens our hearts to the work of the Holy Spirit to teach us as well as transform us. Are you making time for the life changeing Word of God today? If you are not,you don't realize what you are missing. God gave us His Word  Not only to help us believe. But with the power of the Holy Spirit it gives us the power to change and be more Christlike, which is what he wants us to be. Now I don't know about you but the more I read the Word the more the Holy Spirit works on my heart to change. To change to the person God wants me to be. And that is what brings us closer to God and allows His Spirit to transform us into the person He wants us to be. Let me ask you this,or should I say Jesus asked us this "Do you love Me?" Well do you? Cause if you do I would think you would want to make all the time you could to be in His life changing Word. Because its not Just Information! HABD!

Can you, See it?

Good Morning! John 14:17 The world cannot except him,because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. Now Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit here. Now let me ask you something, do you believe in the Holy Spirit? Or do you find it hard because it is something we cannot see? OK! Do you believe in electricity? Sure you do, but you can't see it, but you can see the results of it when you flip on a light switch. Well with the Holy Spirit it is the same. When we except Jesus as our Savior we turn on the switch. And once we do this that is when we start to see the results of the Holy Spirit working in our lives and others. I'm going to give you one example, I haven't had a drink or drug in over 4 yrs. Do you think that is because of me and my willpower? No, it is the power of the Holy Spirit that lives in me,that gives me the strength each day not to. And I am so thankful to be involved with all the programs I am, because I see the results of the Spirit there to. I can't tell you how many people I have seen come into the program at C.R. ask Jesus to be their savior and then watch the Spirit take over and change their lives. Now let me ask you. What have you seen happen in your life since you gave your life to Jesus? Has the light switch been flipped for you? But here's the REAL question are you looking for what the Holy Spirit is doing in your life? Are you thanking God for that Spirit. I know I do. For without that Spirit we would see nothing but darkness. So ask yourself, Can you see it? HABD!

All the Same

Greetings! Phillip 2:10-11 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. I read a story one time about Queen Victoria. How sometimes she would go into the slums of London and visit the people who lived there. One day after finishing having Tea with a women there, she asked the women if there was anything she could do for the women. The women said Yes your Majesty, You can meet me in Heaven. The Queen turned to her and said softly, Yes, I'll be there, but only because of the blood that was shed on the cross for you and for me. Queen Victoria in her day was one of the most powerful people in the world. But even she had to depend on the Blood of Jesus for her salvation. In a world so full of BIG Preachers and BIG Churches that make it seem that if you are a part of that Congregation or even for small Congregations who look for you to be there every Sunday. Or you may be in danger of not making it to heaven. I can only say, We are All the Same! And, That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED. (Rom 10:9) That right there is what makes us All the Same! Not what Preacher you listen to on TV or Church you attend or how many times you go to Church or functions you participate in. Those things won't get you to Heaven. It is only through the Blood of Jesus that we will All be Together and I will meet you in Heaven one day. Now I am not saying don't go to Church, And you don't need to hear the word. Those are detrimental to our Spiritual Growth. Just make sure the Church and Preacher you listen to, are all about teaching the Word of God. And don't be misled! There is only one way to get to heaven, And one day we will all bow before him and confess Jesus Christ is Lord. In Heaven! HABD!

Wheres the Proof?

Greetings! 1Peter 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an INHERITANCE that can never perish, spoil or fade-kept in heaven for you. Have you ever been trying to share Jesus with someone and have them tell you, "Well where is your proof,how do you know for sure?" WELL? How do we know? Well this is how I know, the Bible tells me so. Are whole purpose in life, that God made us for is to serve Him. And even after this corrupt body dies we will serve him in heaven. But how do we know that? In Ephes 2:4-5 it says, But because of his great love for us,God,who is rich in mercy, made us alive in Christ even when we were dead in transgressions it is by grace you have been saved. There's that Grace and Mercy thing again. But did you get the main point of this Vs? Even though we are dead now, because of sin and one day our body's will die. We will always be alive through our Savior Jesus Christ because he beat sin on the cross. There it is, that is the proof. In these body's we are dead, because of sin. But the day will come, when we will be done with these body's and we will except our new ones. Our Eternal ones. That we will use to serve God forever. How do I know this? Because the Bible tells me so. Because our hope is Alive, that hope is Jesus Christ who has paid the price for our transgressions and guaranteed a place for us in heaven. So the next time someone asks you, "Where's your proof?" Make sure you have your Sword somewhere handy, So you can whip out the Bible of Truth and show them. And be proud of who you are in Christ today, after all it is your inheritance! HABD!

Only with Gods helps

Good Morning! Coloss 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. The command to forgive is one of the most difficult to obey. Especially towards people who have wronged us, either physically, or emotionally. But what makes it really hard is when in our hearts we know they don't deserve it. But let me ask you, do you think you should be forgiven by God for some of the things you have done in your life? In Rom 3:24 it tells us we, "are justified freely by his grace." We don't deserve Gods forgiveness, but he gives it anyway, and we are to do the same. Because if we don't,anger and bitterness will eat away at our soul and we will never have Peace! God is the only one and the only way who can help us to forgive. To forgive as He forgives us. First we need to see our part in the problem. And even if it is just our unwillingness to forgive. Then we need to ask God to help us forgive and to forgive us if we had any part in it. Then comes the hard part, and this must be done. You need to go to this person and tell them you forgive them, and ask them to forgive you. Cause remember resentment is a sin in the eyes of God. Remember he sent his only Son so we could be forgiven, so what gives us the right to be Unforgiving except our own selfishness. Today if there is someone in your life that you need to forgive,forgive them! For if you cannot forgive them,how can your Father in heaven forgive you? Mark 11:25 HABD!

The "L" word

Good Morning and Happy Valentines Day!  1John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tougue but with actions and in truth. The "L" word, LOVE is such an easy word to use these days. Wherever you go you can hear people saying, "Love ya" or "You know I Love you" Today Love is just a word that is thrown around in any sentence and a emotion that is just a word. Sure there are people in our lives that we REALLY do love, and we all claim to love Jesus, but here in this Vs we are told love should be shown in action and in truth. Something to think about the next time you say the L word to someone. Would you lay down your life for that person? If they were dying would you give them CPR or if they were sad would you try and help comfort them? It is so easy for us to say we love someone,but do our actions and our motives really show it? Now there is another side of the coin some of us don't like to look at and that is the MOTIVES behind love. Have you ever found yourself saying, "If you do this I will love you forever" sure it is just a statement,but for some they use love for that purpose. To get what they want out of life. In Rom 12:9-10 it says, Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil doing to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. So what I'm trying to say, is on this day of LOVE, Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1John 4:7-8. How sincere is your "L" word today? HABD!

We are not the same

Greetings! Gal 5:1 It is for our freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. I have had this conversation with numerous people this week, so I think it is something God wants me to share with you all. You know for many yrs I was an Alcoholic, a Drug Addict, a Thief, Liar and Deciever. But these were things I choose to be in life. Then I choose to ask Jesus to become the Lord and Savior of my life, even though he had already choose us when He went to the cross.But that's another tex. But what happened is when Jesus came into my life He changed me. And through a renewing of the mind, I no longer wanted to be those things any longer. Jesus had set me free from my old way of thinking and replaced it with a new way of thinking. He set me fee from all my old Hurt, Habits and Hangups. And through the help of his Holy Spirit I am no longer the person I used to be. You know I used to make fun of people when they would say, I found Jesus and now I'M A CHANGED MAN! But you really don't know hope true that is till you experience it. That is why today I don't like going to meetings where I have to introduce myself as Daniel and I'm an Alcoholic. Because I am no longer that person. Jesus came to set us Free, not only from sin and death, but from ourselves and our stupid choices we make. He frees us from the yokes of slavery that Satan wants to keep us in and makes us a new person in Him. You see I haven't had a drink in 4 yrs,so am I still an Alcoholic? No! Not unless I pick up another drink. Jesus came to show us a better life. One of change through Him. Theres and old saying in AA at the end of the meeting. They say, Keep coming back, it works if you work it! But I have kind of changed that to, Keep coming back, He'll Work If You Let Him! God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. But thanks to Jesus we don't have to be. HABD!

Is it OK?

Good Morning! 1Corinth 6:12 Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.Now in these Vs here Paul is talking about Sexual Immorality, but I think today this could apply to a lot of things. I know for me there are some things I do that I know I shouldn't do, but I do them anyway and then try and justify it by saying, well everyone else is doing it. Or one of my favorites, We are in a different age and time now, So its OK! It may be an occasional sexual joke or even encounter. It may be having a drink here and there, but not if your getting drunk. And I know I get on this subject a lot, but I can say this cause I used to do it to. But one of our biggest things we make an excuse for is Smoking! Granted all these thongs are permissible, but are they beneficial. Just a little something to ask our self the next time we want to go a little far with our boyfriend or girlfriend. Or we go to light that smoke. But the best thing we can ask ourselves is, Is this thing I'm about to do beneficial to my witness for Jesus. I know there are a lot of things I could do today that are permissible in the eyes of this world, but are they permissible in the eyes of God? And I guarantee that if you are standing there justifiably if it is OK or not, it probably isn't. Everything is permissible for us! But is everything beneficial to our witness? HABD!

Don't be Deceived...

Good Morning! Matt 7:15 Watch out for false prophets.They come to you in sheep clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.Yesterday I talked about us all being the same in the Blood of Jesus and that because of it we all need His word to grow. Well for a lot of people the only place they hear His word is at church on Sunday. That is why I say it is very important that you find a Church that the Pastor or Priest speaks directly out of the Bible. We have to be careful, Satan is the King of Deception and infiltrates the pulpit with people who empty sacred terms of their true biblical meaning or just don't tell the truth. Of what the Word is really saying. There are a lot of people out there teaching Prosperity. There are a lot of people out there writing books telling you how to Have your Best Life, or Getting Closer to God through Fasting. But people the only book I know that gets me closer to God, or tells me how to have a good life is the Bible. That is why we must check the people who we have teaching us the Word. Because there are those out there who tale the word and twist it to get their meaning out of it. So today in a World that is full of wolves dressed in sheep's clothing, we must make sure we are getting the right message. If your teacher does not use Scripture in its theological text, you might want to beware. If he never talks about the Blood of Jesus, you might want to beware. After all Satan does not build a church and call it, Church of Satan. He is a deceiver and he has lots of help trying to keep people from knowing the Real Truth of Gods word. The Sword of the Spirit! The Bible is the weapon God has provided for us in this battle between truth and deception. We need to make it our priority to know the truth He sets forth in His word so we can discern between His truth and Satan's lies.HABD!

They go Together!

Greetings! 1Tim 1:13-14 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown MERCY because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The GRACE of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Peanut Butter and Jelly, Forks and Spoons, Salt and Pepper.These are things that usually are always together. But there is something else that as Paul states here in these Vs, comes from God together. And that is Mercy and Grace! And today as I sit here thanking God for all the things He has given me in my life today, I have to thank Him for those 2 things the most. For I was once like Paul, I was a blasphemer and persecutor, an angry and violent man. A man that deserves far worse of a life than I have today. But thanks to Jesus Christ I have been shown Mercy. Something I think we all take a little to lightly, because we all sin everyday and deserve the punishment which is separation from God. But everyday we are shown Mercy. And that's where Grace, Mercy's partner comes in. For so much of my life I blasphemed God and persecuted believers for their faith. But yet today God shows me favor, when he should not even look upon me. How about you? I don't think we really realize how much Mercy and Grace play in our daily lives. It is something God gives us everyday, every hour, every minute. So today at some point don't forget to stop and Thank God for Jesus His Son. Because it is through Him we receive this Mercy and Grace! And don't forget to Thank Him for that. Because today I know I have been shown Mercy and Grace, because the Lord has allowed me to live another year. And He has allowed me to have wonderful people like you in my life to share his word with. So as you reach for the Salt and Pepper today, remember Gods Mercy and Grace, cause they Go Together! HABD!

With a Bang

Good Morning! I'm on a new phone today,so bare with me. Matt 16:27 5or the Son of Man is going to come in his Fathers glory with his angels,and then he will reward each person for what he has done. Today we walk by Faith,not by sight (2 Corinth 5:7) Because we have never seen Jesus. How easy it must have been back in the day when He walked the earth to believe. But yet some didn't. Just like today it is so easy to let the events and moments of the days and times we live in to block out the promise of the future we have in Jesus. The future today seems so unrealistic,that we will one day spend eternity one day with God in heaven the way the earth is today.That is why today we have step out in faith and ,set our minds on things above,not on earthy things. (Coloss 3:2) We have to start looking for the day when Jesus is coming back. And when He does it will be with a Bang! He will be dressed in a robe dipped in blood,and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen,white and clean. (Rev 19:13-14) You see this is where our minds must be,not on this world and whats going on in it. Because there will be a New Heaven and a New Earth (Rev 21:1) So today don't worry about whats going on with world today. Put your mind on the fact that one day we're all leaving here with a Bang. When we see Jesus as he is (1John 3:2) HABD!

Satan's Biggest Tool

Good Morning! The last part of Isaiah 38:17 says, You have put all my sins behind your back. Today I want to share with you one of Satan's biggest tools that hinders us not only in Recovery, but also in our Christian walk as well. And that is Guilt! Here's a little story about me. In 2003 after being clean & sober for 2 1/2 yrs I started using again. I had been going to AA and all that good stuff, but got to busy with my job and other things that I got to busy to worry about my program and staying clean. But this is the thing that kept me out there for another 2yrs and got me in all kinds of trouble, and that was GUILT! You see Satan told me that I had messed up, so AA wouldn't want me anymore. And seeings how I messed up, I might as well mess up real good. And that is the problem with a lot of us today, we believe those lies. We all make mistakes in life. Look at all the people in the Bible. Every one of them messed up and sinned in some way or another. But God forgave them. And that is what we have to remember, that our Guilt, our Sins were paid for by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ! God puts our sins behind his back, He sees them no more. So today if satan is pounding you with the hammer of guilt. Remember who held the nails. In his hands and feet so we don't have to feel the guilt. And if we are feeling guilty about something. Chances are it is something we need to address. See what it is, ask for forgiveness, repent and move forward. Satan wants to keep you away from the forgiveness of God with his hammer of Guilt. But remember he already hammered the nails once into Jesus. So he can No Longer hammer the nails of Guilt in us. Always remember, God loves you and will forgive you for anything you have done! HABD!

With a Bang

Good Morning! I'm on a new phone today,so bare with me. Matt 16:27 5or the Son of Man is going to come in his Fathers glory with his angels,and then he will reward each person for what he has done. Our Privilege

Good Morning! 1John 3:1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! Today I want to share some really good news with you. Do you ever ask yourself or feel like, Am I really worthy to be called a Child of God? Well you need not question that anymore. It says right here in this Vs that WE ARE! Now that's the Good News! But there's more. With this right comes privileges. If you have accepted Christ Jesus as your Savior we have privileges at our disposal. So now I want to ask you are you using these privileges? In 1Peter 5:7 we are told to, To cast all our cares and anxieties upon him. Do you do that? That is our privilege to turn everything over to him. Jesus tells us in John 14:1 Do not let your hearts be troubled, this is our privilege when we turn things over to him. No Worries! But here is the best privilege, Children as you know are always asking for things, and we are no different. God knows we have needs and wants, and if we make our needs known to him, he wants to give them to us, according to his will. In Psalm 84:11 it says, No good thing will He withhold from those who walk upright. Another privilege he gives us today is that of helping others. To cast all our cares and anxieties upon him. So get out there and claim all the Privileges you have in being a Child of God and HEY! HABD!

Doing our bidding

Good Morning! Eccles 5:2 Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. Let me ask you something, Have you ever tried to make deals with God? I know I used to back in the day, when I'd be sitting in a jail cell for something and say to God, "God just get me out of this one and I will never do that again." But we have all probably done that at some time or another. But how about today? Do you try and make Deals with God? Do you try and get God to do your Bidding? Do you tell God, "Okay God! If you will do this for me, then I will be this way, or I will do that for you. But you see we were placed here for a reason. And that was to do Gods will. Not try and get God to bless OURS. And how about when he does give you something you want, do you go through with what you vowed to do for Him? Vs 4, When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. Yes! How many of us get what we want from God and say, Thank You and Praise God and then go on our merry way. I talk about this, cause I do it all the time. Please God, just do that, and Please help me with this. Instead of just concentrating on doing His will. His will. God knows whats best for us, and when we are trying to make deals, we are only being fools, and we are mocking God. So today if you catch yourself saying, "OK God I'll tell you what." You need to stop and regroup, because you are about to try and make a deal, and try and get God to do your Bidding. God doesn't work like that! As a matter of fact He has already given us the Best Deal and did OUR Bidding when He sent his Son to die for our sins. Life is not a Deal or No Deal game. It is about Commitment and Obedience to God. Not you work with me and I'll work with you. God is Sovereign! HABD!

Shifting Blame

Good Morning! John 3:17, For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Why would a loving God send anyone to Hell? I want to share something today that used to amaze me. From 2005 to the middle of 2006 I spent 17 months in Jail and Prison for some things I did. Now I want you to look what I said, THINGS I DID! It used to amaze me all the guys (especially jail) who were in there and wanted to blame everyone but themselves for being in there. It was the wife's fault. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. And yes I even heard, that it was the Cops fault for arresting them. Yes I even heard it was the Judges fault for sentencing them to jail. We all want to blame others or circumstances for the things that happen to us and against us in our lives. And granted, some may just be bad circumstances, but most the time we don't have to look any farther, who's to blame than ourselves.We can only blame ourselves and the sin that lives in us for the consequences we pay in this life, and maybe the next. But I do have some Good News in all this. Even though we are to Blame, God loves us! This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Now, did you catch that? Even though WE ARE TO BLAME for our sins, God sent Jesus to pay the price. To take our punishment, to do our time! So today if you are caught up in sin. Don't look for people or circumstances to Blame the Consequences on, take the Blame. Then confess your sin to God. (1John 1:9) And He will forgive you. And he will pardon you through the Blood of Jesus Christ. But he can't do this unless you step up and Take the Blame! HABD!

Distractio​ns of Worry

Good Morning! Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. We all worry about things from time to time. I know I worry to much about my financial state to much. Because I always seem to have what I need. But sometimes we worry about things so much it becomes a distraction. It distracts us from our primary goal and purpose, and that is to trust God for all our wants, needs and comforts in life. In Vs 2 of this Psalm David says, My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught. That is my problem sometimes, I worry about something so much that it consumes me, and I can think of nothing else. It takes up so much of my thoughts that I forget there are other people around me, that may have bigger problems than I do. My point is, is I get so wrapped up in myself that I am distracted from the world and what is going on around me. I forget that God is in control and the outcome of any situation is in His hands. I become so distracted with worry, I don't pray, I don't seek answers from the one who can help. I rely on myself to come up with the answers,which only creates other distractions and troubles in my life. So if you are like me today. And worry is causing distractions in your life. To the point that you are worried sick. Do like David did in Vs 17 Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. It is not till we cry out to God for help, that we can take care of the Distractions of Worry in our lives. And get back to seeing whats really going on in the world around us. HABD!

Deceit and the Heart

Good Morning! Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it. It amazes me today, how after all the time I have been in Recovery and all the things I've learned. That my heart and mind still want play games with me. You see I believe that your heart and the way you think go hand in hand. But I do think the heart has a lot more power and influence over the final action your mind has set. Take for instance yesterday as I went to get a soda at a local convenience store, there I was looking at the Big, New, Walk in Cooler they had full of beer. The things that started going through my head. In this Vs Jer says the heart is beyond cure with deceit. I don't think this is true. For the more Gods love and His word is in your heart the less it will deceive you. Even as my mind was sitting there telling me yesterday, Ditty look at all these new kinds and look theres your old favorite. My heart was telling me another story. It was reminding me of the PAIN and TROUBLES that, that stuff brought in my life and to people I loved. And I went and got a Soda. I say the Heart and Mind go hand in hand, but now I think I am wrong about that. Because the mind is the devils playground but the heart is where Jesus Christ lives. If you have asked him to. And the more of his word you put there, the more it pushes the deceit of your heart out. And like me yesterday I listened to my heart and got out of there. So today work on the Deceit of your heart, by putting Gods Word there. For, I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve. Vs 10. So don't let your heart deceive you (or your mind) they both need God. And if you don't believe that then, you are only deceiving yourself and the truth is not in you. HABD!

A Road called GRACE!

Good Morning! Matt 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Something really amazes me these days. And that is how many people say they believe in God, but the life they live doesn't exemplify that fact. Now remember, this is just my opinion! One thing about being in Recovery is that I have been able to see Gods Grace at work, not only in my life, but in the life of others. And I think this is some of the problem with people today who want to say they Believe, but really don't know's problem. They have never walked down the road of Grace. They have never experienced it. You see I travel that road everyday. Everyday I wake up, I experience Grace. Everyday I wake up and don't have to take a drink or drug, I experience more Grace. Everyday I experience the Love and Comprehend what Jesus Christ did for us on the Cross so we could be FREE! Free from sin, Free from death, Free from the strongholds that satan wants to put us under. I experience Grace. Some of us don't even think about every breath we take is a gift from God. The gift of Grace! So many of us think we are traveling down the narrow road towards the small gate. But we haven't even made it to that exit on the Highway yet. Because we are still wanting to travel the road everyone else is on. If you notice at the end of this Vs Jesus says, and only a few find it. Cause no one looks for His Grace! So today look at all the Grace God showers upon your life on a daily basis and that is where you will find the road. A road called Grace! And it is spelled like this, Jesus Christ! HABD!

joining the team!

Good Morning! Rom 12:6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. And if you read on to Vs 7 and 8 it goes into all the gifts like teaching, encouraging, being generous and showing mercy. You see God has given us all gifts to use and share with each other.But one of Satan's oldest tricks is to tell us we are worthless and what could we possibly have that is of any importance to God? I know! Because of my drinking and drugging Satan told me that all my life. He told me that I was worthless to the point in 2003 I tried to commit suicide 2 times, times in a 6 month period. But that wasn't God's plan. And today my gift, and it is a gift from God. Is to share his Word with you,and also to share with other Alcoholics and Addicts and also just people. That Jesus is the way to a Fulfilling and Rewarding life. But you see God uses all of us if we jet him to become a Team! He takes each one of us and our gifts to form a Team that plays against the forces of evil in this world. And we all have a different, but Important part on the team. And the name of the Team is the Body of Christ! So what position has God giving you on the team today. Is it being a greeter at the door? overseas? Whatever it is? God has given you these gifts for a purpose. To become part of the team. The team that through Jesus Christ defeats Satan everyday on the field of life. There is a saying! You can't keep it, unless you give it away! That is why God has given us all different gifts, to share and let us help one another be part of the team! The Body of Christ that cannot be defeated. For if we use our gifts all together as one, we become a Team. Today ask God to show you your gifts. And join the Team! HABD!

We all do it

Good Morning! James 2:9 But if you show favoritism,you sin and are convicted by the law as a lawbreaker. Now today I'm going to hit on something we all do, and I am one who is bad at it. But just because We all do it! Doesn't make it right. Do you have certain people you like to hang out with? Then there are other people you associate with only because you have to? Maybe because your job dictates that you must or your business is that, that you deal with the public on a daily basis. Are there people in your life that you just treat better than others? This is called Favoritism and in this Vs, it is telling us it is a sin. And if you are sitting there telling yourself, Well I don't do that! Or I'm not that bad! Then you are lying to yourself and the truth is not in you. Because we all show favoritism, even in the Churches we go to and the Religions we practice. If we didn't we would all meet for one big service in the town square every Sunday. Favoritism is one of the Biggest and probable most committed sin we do on a daily basis. In Vs 8 it says, If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing right. So how many of us is doing right? I mean if you take a look (and I'm not saying all deeds are  done this wax) But if you look at a lot of the deeds we do, they are out of favoritism, not love the way they are meant to be. Favoritism! It is a very Big part of my sinful life. How about you? Now I am not saying we have to hang out with everyone we meet or invite a thief to dinner. But can we just treat everyone the way we would like to be treated. For me today, I'm going to try! And I know I will fail, but I'm going to try! And when I try I will at least be trying to do God's will in Jesus Christ! And in Him there is no failure. So today let us all try and show No Favoritism and HABD!
