Are You Living in the Pit, or Out?

Good Morning! Isaiah 38:17 In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back. I want to share something with you today. Scripture tells us God saved us from the pot of destruction. When we were headed for trouble, He rescued us from sin. That's not hard to relate to. If you are like me, you know how easy sin still grabs hold of us and the problems it can cause in our lives. but the idea that God puts our sins behind His back, that seems strangely human. What would our iniquities be doing there? But I guess God could put something behind his back and ignore it. Its as if sin doesn't catch His attention. But that's the point I want to make today. God doesn't ignore our wrong doings. He covers them with the Blood of Jesus! Perhaps it would be easier to look at it as Him putting are sins behind His back, a bit the way we do when we turn from them. They have no impact on our lives anymore. But now! Here is the good news. No one can get to those sins anymore. Satan may accuse us, he may try and make us feel guilty, but those sins cannot effect or impact our eternal lives at all! Unless God says so and he won't. So here is my question for today. Are you still living as if your sin is behind Gods back. Or do we fear that we can never escape sin, as it continues to mar our lives. When we react that way, have we really left the pit? Aren't we saying God's salvation was only partial. But when we take sin seriously, seek to avoid it, and trust God has really done as He said, we can begin to understand that sin has less and less impact on our lives, and we can start living in the promise that we'll spend eternity with Jesus! This world is the pit! But we are not going to live here forever! Amen and Thank You Jesus! HABD!
