Be Careful what you Think and Say!

Good Morning! Proverbs Day 17: Prov 17:5 He who mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished. You know today with the economy the way it is there are alot of people out there that are losing their jobs, their houses and the things they have worked for, for a long time. And something I have found that I really have to watch myself these days is looking at these people like they are playing the system. Don't get me wrong there are people who know how to get the things they need without doing anything for it. But we all have to remember they will all have to give an account of their actions one day. But for me I have to be careful how I think and what I say about these people, who for some reason they are down on their luck. It is so easy to say, "Oh go get a job." If you have one! But have you really tried to get one these days? Its not so easy. And it is so easy to look down on these people because they are on Unemployment and Food Stamps, but with the economy the way it is going, be careful what you think and say cause we may all be there one day. And the second part of this Vs is very simple! And we have all done it. Did you ever know someone you just didn't like? And lets face it even if you don't hate them, there are people out there that just rub you the wrong way. You would just as soon not have to be around them if it were at all possible. And when something happens to them, maybe they lose their job, or somebody hit their car, or its just one of those things where you can say I told you so! You kind of take joy in their misfortune. We also have to be careful of these thoughts. For when we gloat over other peoples misfortunes and disasters we are only wishing the same on ourselves. For it says right here you will not go unpunished. The point I am trying to make today, is we don't always know all the circumstances somebody is going through. In Matt 7:1 it tells us "Do not judge, or you to will be judged." So today be careful how you think and talk about people. Jesus was a man of Compassion and we all could use a little of that. Today's times are rough, and let me tell you they are only going to get rougher. And it is in these times we need to help one another, not judge one another. So what are you thinking and saying about the less fortunate today? HABD!
