Do you take the Easy Way or the Lord's Way?

Good afternoon. I am doing today's Proverb for Daniel, so bare with me. Proverbs Day 21: Proverbs 21:5 NLT Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. This is so true. How many of us have tried or been suckered into those get rich quick schemes. You see them all the time on infomercials. I know we have a series of tapes on how to succeed. We are all after that mighty dollar thinking it will solve all our problems as Daniel mentioned earlier. We all are chasing the mighty dollar but there are some that just don't want to work for it. We all know someone like that. Let's face it today's society people just don't want to work. They think that it should be given to them, that they deserve it. Or the other side of that some people are just dishonest, but Proverbs 21:12 says The Righteous One knows what is going on in the homes of the wicked; he will bring disaster on them. Being in business for ourselves it would have been real easy to cross that line especially when it comes to paying taxes. That was not a line I would cross. Proverbs 21:8 The guilty walk a crooked path; the innocent travel a straight road. Unfortunately we live in a I want it NOW SOCIETY. Vs 20 The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get. Vs25 says Despite their desires, the lazy will come to ruin, for their hands refuse to work. As earlier blogs have talked about today, I actually want less. Less for myself and more for others. Vs 26 Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give! So today, do you take the Easy Way out and do whatever is needed just to get by or do you do whatever you do as doing it for the Lord. Col 3:23
