Can't keep doing it!
Greetings! Yesterday I talked about the Unforgivable Sin. So let me ask you, seeings how God is going to forgive us, does that mean we can do and live however we want? In Rom 6:1 Paul asks us that question, What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? I know in my old way of living I did. I used to think it doesn't matter if I drink and drug and live a sinful life. God is going to forgive me! But in Vs 23 it tells us, that the wages of sin is death. Because I know for me there are things I do today that I rationalize and say to myself, I do that because I still have sin in my life. But you see in Vs 14 it says, For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. In Vs 6 it tells us, For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Because in Vs 16 it tells us, you are a slave to the one you obey! Be it sin, or obedience. You see now that we have died to sin with Jesus in his death to sin. Vs 11 And now that we have been set free from sin we should want to live a life of obedience. I don't know about you, but some days I take Gods grace for granted, and do things and live the way I want. But this is not obedience to God. And if I am telling myself that, God will forgive me! I am mocking God and His Grace and we don't know how close we might be coming to that Unforgivable Sin. Because in the end, we will only stand before one Judge and that will be him. Living a life of obedience through Jesus is the only way to eternal life and all the other benefits that come with it. Vs 22! HABD!
