How are your words?
Greetings! Prov 16:23-24 A wise man's heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction. Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. I was reading today in my Devo's of 2 men at Purdue University who for 2 hours every Weds they would stand on a busy sidewalk and do nothing but compliment people as they walked by. You know! Telling people things like "I like your red coat" or "You have a nice smile." It made me think, How much do I go out of my way during the day to give someone a compliment? The more I thought about it though, I am like the man in Vs 27 whos lips are like a burning fire. So often I am to busy looking at someone and finding all thier faults before I start looking at thier good things. How about you? The Bible tells us we are to build each other up and encourage each other. (1Thess 5:11) So why do we find that so hard. So today I am challengeing myself and you can do it to. To find the positive things in the people I encounter today. And to find nothing but kind words to say to people. Kind words are FREE! But you never know the priceless gift of the spirit you might give someone today. So today let us try to have nothing but Honey coming out of our mouth so we may give sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. And just remember! If you don't have anything nice to say! Then say nothing at all. Have A Blessed Day and remember what you do or say may impact somebodys life, for the rest of it.
