We are sinners, by Birth, Choice and Practice

Good Morning! I ask today you all say a prayer for me. I have been having these little episodes when I just don't feel good. Had one yesterday, but feeling a little better today. Rom 7:24-25  What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God-through Jesus Christ our Lord!  As much as we hate to admit it, we are sinners by birth. The Bible is clear: "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me" (Psalm 51:5) We are also sinners by choice. There comes a time,it actually happens several times a day, when we deliberately choose to tell a lie, to steal, to covet, to gossip, to rage. Or we deliberately choose not to be kind, not to serve or not to help. Sins of commission, sins of omission, we choose them both. We are also sinners by practice. T he more we do it the easier it is to practice lust, greed, hate, lying, stealing, or whatever it may be, maybe pride, jealousy and anger. These things beset all of us. And the more we yield to the pressure, the more easily we will yield next time. I tell you this today, because no matter how I look at myself today. No matter how good I think I am. No matter what good things I do during the day. I must still join with Paul in claiming "What a wretched man I am" and who will rescue me? We all need to give thanks to God for sending his Son Jesus, Our Savior and Deliverer! For without him we live in a body that deserves nothing but death. HABD!
