Never Give Up

Good Morning! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1Corinth 1:3 If anyone really needed grace and peace it was the Corinthians. Paul's letters to them describe a church that was constantly faced with problems that might make a lot of modern day believers move to another congregation. Sin didn't creep into that church, it marched right up to the alter. Yet when the apostle wished grace and peace on these young Christians, he wasn't being facetious. The first 8 verses of this chapter make that clear. Paul was more interested in putting them on the right path than handing them harsh critique. Any critical comments are designed to show them a better way in Jesus. Sometimes we to may have days when we need huge quantities of Gods grace and peace, A relationship gone awry, a bad choice that we have to live with, or a seemingly impossible work situation has derailed our lives. We know whats wrong, and we're not looking for anyone to simply delight in telling us how bad we are. Instead, we need a solution. Like those Corinthians, when we get help, we'll have to face the bad news and admit what wrongs we've done. But we also nee someone like Paul, who won't give up on us. We want one of God's people to come to us with grace and peace, help us find the right path, and aid us in walking down it for the rest of our lives. None of us is beyond Gods grace and peace. Paul told that to the Corinthians, and he's telling it to us, too. Jesus picks up fallen people with His unending grace and mercy. He never, never, never, gives up on a child who calls out to Him. As long as we never give up calling to Him. HABD!
