Good Morning! 2Corinth 4:8-9 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. You know being a believer in Jesus has changed my life tremendously today. But you know what? It is hard to live a Christian life sometimes. It is hard for me to live the way I should. The world tells me OH! This is acceptable today! But the Word tells me its not. In my mind I get perplexed about how things should be. But I know those are not Gods plans for me. I have people who don't talk to me or treat me different, because of my beliefs. And at times I feel alone and abandoned. But I know I am never alone. Sometimes I feel like I have messed up my whole life, by things I did in the past. And if I had only done things differently back then. If I had only done it this way, how different my life would be today. But you see this is just Satan doing his job. Trying to make the things of this world look better to us. But if you go to Vs 18, Paul tells us to fix our eyes on what is unseen, not what is seen, for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. This is what pulls me through and out of perplexity. Seeking Jesus and His Word. When I see Jesus on the Cross and what he did for us, it opens my eyes to see that the world is just Satan's playground. And we are just passing through. On our way to a place we have not seen. But Jesus has prepared for us. In this world we will be perplexed about things. We will sometimes stumble. But in Vs 17 it tells us, For our fight and momentary troubles are achieving for us eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So today! We may be in this world, but we don't have to live of this world. So don't let it perplex you. HABD!
Sorrow may last for a night but JOY comes with the morning
