Good Morning! Heb 12:1 Therefor, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. There was a Preacher who used to stay up all hours of the night working on his sermon for Sunday Mornings! The thing was he had a very small congregation. One night his wife asked him,"Why do you work so hard on a message for so few?" The man replied, "You forget, my dear, how large the audience will be." In this Vs the writer of Hebrews is reminding us that not only is God watching us in our daily routine of life, but there are many spectators in the stands of Heaven looking on too! Do you ever think about that? I know I do sometimes when I may be doing something I probably shouldn't be, but Hey, no one is around. Then I have to stop and think, not only is God watching, but my Grandparents could be, my Father could be, and even King David could be. That is why this Vs is telling us, we must throw off all the things (sin) that hinder us in our race. So that we can give our best performance in this race called life. After all there are people watching. Not only are the Heavenly realms watching, but believe me when you profess to being a Christian, there are alot of people watching here on earth too! That is why today we must think about this in our daily walk. You may not think anyone is watching what you are doing, but there is always someone watching. I know I need to think about this concept in my life more. Because I believe if we do, it can help us to stay on the narrow road a little more in our lives. It is so easy for me to sin when I think that no one is watching, but somebody is always watching. So let us remember that today. For is it not true? We tend to do things better if we think someone is watching. So as you run your race today, and at some point you are away from all the other contestants, and you think you might take a rest or break from the race. Remember there is always someone in the Grandstands. Always someone looking on! So let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of God. Vs 12:2 So He could help and watch over us in our race against sin. Its a rough race, but we run it easier when we remember, Someone is Always Watching! HABD!
