Good Morning! This one comes from the Archives this morning. Psalm 30:5 Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. And psalm 126:5 They who sow in tears, shall reap in joy and singing. We all know life has its UPS and DOWNS! But sometimes I think we miss what the pains in life are for. We don't like pain and the more we fight pain the more of an effect it has on us. I know for me I used to fight pain all the time. I didn't want anyone to know I was hurting. Because I am a TOUGH GUY and I can take it. But you see we have pain in our lives for a reason. Its Gods way to build our Character. It is Gods way for Him to show us that in those times of pain and hurt He is there for us to lean on. And sometimes He even sends others into our lives we can lean on also. Because they have been through the same thing you have and they can help. Plus it is easier to go through something together than alone. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) Another thing I have learned about pain is they are learning experiences. So many of us fight pain and what we really need to do is experience it and let it do its job. And then Guess What? When we work through the pain on the other side is Joy! The Joy of the Lord! Pain is necessary in life, so God can show us His power and Love for us. So if you are hurting today. Don't be afraid to show it. Chances are someone else is to. Or they have been there done that and they can help. And together and with God you can find the answer to your pain. And once you know the answer, then you know the Truth. And guess what that does? The Truth shall set you free. And with Freedom comes Joy! So today Endure the Pain, cause eventually it leads to Joy! HABD!
I love this post. I can so relate. When I am experiencing my arthritis pain which has been more frequent than not now days, I think of 2 Cor 12:9 "My grace is sufficent for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
ReplyDeleteProverbs 18:14 The human spirit can endure a sick body, but who can bear a crushed spirit?
But the big one for me is Romans 5:3-5 Not only so, but we also GLORY in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
